The bottom yoke carries the steering stem and the lower fork clamps, and it is what takes the load in a front-end impact. Bent stems and strained lower clamps are the usual reasons one comes off a bike. After any hard front-wheel hit, inspect the yoke for hairline cracks around the clamp bores before deciding it survived.
This is the DNM-fork variant. Tell the two apart by cap colour: DNM caps are black, RST caps are red, and the yokes are not interchangeable. Fitment covers Sting 4000, Sting Offroad (DNM), Sting Onroad (DNM) and Sting R Road Legal.
It pairs with the DNM top yoke, SKU 1555, which is sold separately. If a crash damaged one yoke, the other has usually been stressed even where nothing is visibly bent, and replacing the pair is the safer way to get front-end geometry back to true. Expect an advanced two-hour job: bars removed, brake line clip freed and the forks dropped out, using a torque wrench, hex keys, a soft-jaw vice and a steering-stem socket. Re-grease the steering bearings on the way back together and torque to service-manual figures.
