Talaria suspension — replacing stock, or upgrading past it
Talaria fits real suspension from the factory: FastAce, DNM and RST units depending on model and trim, with a 250 mm air fork on the Komodo and a Manitou Dorado on the Expert build. That means most riders on this page fall into one of two camps — replacing a worn or damaged part, or moving past what stock can do.
Replacing stock
Forks, rear shocks, top and bottom yokes, swingarms and swingarm bushes are listed against TL45, Sting and Sting R fitments. Yokes in particular are not interchangeable between the RST and DNM setups, so match the brand on your bike, not just the model. Swingarm bushes are a wear item and a common source of rear-end vagueness that riders mistake for a tired shock — check them before you spend on damping.
Upgrading
The Manitou Dorado is the standard answer for a Talaria fork upgrade, and it is what the Expert Edition ships with from the factory. The Comp is the value option; the Expert adds damping adjustment worth having if you ride rough terrain or jump the bike. Either transforms front-end control far more than most riders expect.
At the back, a heavier spring is often the real fix. The stock rate is chosen for an average rider; a 550 lb FastAce spring suits heavier riders or anyone carrying gear, and costs a fraction of a new shock. Aluminium shock linkages change the rear rate through the stroke and are worth considering only once the spring is right.
Set-up before spending
Sag comes first. Seat heights across the range run 805–910 mm and a bike set up for the wrong rider weight will feel bad regardless of what is bolted to it. Get sag and rebound right on the parts you already own, then decide what genuinely needs replacing.
