Where the Black Edition runs matched 17-inch rims, the Red Edition puts a 19-inch front wheel on 70/100-19 rubber ahead of a 17-inch rear on 90/80-17. The larger front rolls over rough ground more readily while the smaller rear keeps seat height at 805 mm (31.7 in).
The high-efficiency IPM motor is rated 2,500 W nominal and 6,000 W peak, driving through a chain with Eco and Sport modes, a 47 mph (75 km/h) top speed and four levels of adjustable regen.
The user-removable 60V pack is specified at 40Ah maximum (38.4Ah nominal), built from 128 LG M50 21700 cells in 16s8p for 2.4 kWh. Charging takes about 4-5 hours and maximum range is 55 mi (88 km). UL Laboratory certification applies to the battery and electrical system.
Suspension is DNM with 8 inches of travel front and rear on an aluminum alloy frame, and both wheels get 4-piston hydraulic calipers on 220 mm rotors. Curb weight is 57 kg (125 lb), maximum load 113 kg (250 lb) and wheelbase 1,240 mm (48.8 in). Lighting is a multi-function LED headlight, and the dash is a digital LCD.
