OEM DC-DC step-down converter taking 60 V from the main pack down to a regulated 12 V. Fits the Talaria Sting Onroad (TL45) and Sting Offroad (TL3000) on the factory plug.
Everything on the bike that runs at 12 V — lighting, signals, horn, accessory feeds — is fed by this converter. It takes 60 V from the main pack and delivers regulated 12 V to the accessory bus through a plug-in factory connector, so there is no splicing involved.
When it fails, the symptoms look electrical rather than mechanical: dim or dead lights with a fully charged pack, flickering signal bulbs, intermittent accessory power. A multimeter at the 12 V bus with the pack live should show a steady reading in the 12 to 13 V range; anything sagging, jumping around or reading zero points at the converter or its input side.
Fitted parts are the TL45 and TL3000. Swapping one is easy work — battery isolated, old unit unplugged, new unit in, then test every 12 V circuit before any plastics go back on. Allow 15 to 20 minutes.
