Passive anodised aluminium heat sink for the EBMX X-9000 controller, adding roughly 30% more convective surface area. Mounts directly to the controller housing on TL4000 and TL45 bikes running the X-9000.
High phase current means heat, and heat in the MOSFETs is what makes a controller pull its output back partway up a climb. This heat sink is a passive answer to that: an anodised aluminium alloy body that clamps straight onto the EBMX X-9000 housing and gives the controller about 30% more surface area to shed heat into moving air.
Fitment is the TL4000 and TL45 with an X-9000 already installed. It is shaped for that housing specifically, so stock Talaria controllers and the BAC8000 are not candidates.
Installation is straightforward — a hex key and around 20 minutes, battery disconnected. A thin film of thermal compound between the sink and the housing improves the heat path, and the mounting bolts are worth re-checking after the first ride.
