Going from the 220 mm stock rotor to this 250 mm disc adds 30 mm of diameter, which lengthens the lever arm the caliper acts on by roughly 13 percent. The result at the lever is more braking torque for the same hand effort, plus a larger surface to shed heat on long descents. The disc is aluminium with a red anodised finish.
Listed fitment covers six models: TL3000, TL4000, TL45, TL50, TL2500 and TL25. The larger diameter pushes the caliper position outward, so an offset or extension bracket may be needed — confirm with your installer whether the bracket is included with the rotor or has to be ordered separately before you start the job. The existing caliper and master cylinder carry over.
This is an advanced fit, around 60-90 minutes, using a torque wrench, hex keys and a bracket alignment tool. The caliper-relocation bracket goes on at the same time as the rotor. Bleed the brakes afterwards and bed the new disc in with 10-15 progressive stops before leaning on it.
