A race-spec rear rim for the Sting platform, cut from T7 7116 aluminium and finished in black anodising. CNC machining is what earns its keep here: spoke-hole positions land where they should, so the wheel trues up cleanly and stays that way.
At 16 inches it is a smaller diameter than the stock 17-inch rear, which is a motocross-oriented change to gearing geometry rather than a like-for-like replacement. It also drops a little rotating weight compared with a pressed stock rim. That combination makes most sense on a competition-focused Sting build rather than a stock trail bike.
Supplied as a rim, so lacing is part of the job unless a complete wheel is being bought. Budget two to three hours with a spoke wrench, truing stand and torque wrench, or around 30 minutes if the wheel arrives built. Chain tension needs resetting after the wheel-size change.
