This is the wear-and-crash category: the parts that get used up on every ride and the ones that break first when the bike goes down. Everything is listed against TL45, TL3000, Sting and Sting R fitments.
Brakes
Talaria fits 4-piston hydraulic brakes across the range, which is more brake than most bikes this size carry. We stock replacement calipers, front and rear master cylinders, 250 mm aluminium discs and the brackets and guards that protect them. A dual rear caliper and disc guard set is worth considering if you ride rock, where a bent rotor ends the day.
If your brakes feel soft rather than worn, bleed them before you replace anything. Air in a hydraulic system mimics a failing master cylinder almost exactly, and a bleed costs nothing.
Chain and sprockets
The bikes run a 420 chain, 106 links, on a chain final drive from the sealed gearbox. We stock OEM chains and Lextek gold chains, 14T front sprockets and aluminium chain adjusters. Chain and sprocket wear together — fitting a new chain to worn sprockets destroys it quickly, so replace them as a pair once either is past its limit. Check chain tension every few rides; electric torque is hard on a loose chain.
Foot pegs and controls
Wider foot pegs with anodised pins are the cheapest meaningful improvement to how the bike feels standing up, and the bracket sets let you replace a peg mount that has taken a hit rather than the whole assembly. Aluminium rear brake pedals cover the other common casualty of a fall.
Guards
Brake disc guards, speedo assembly guards and chain adjusters are inexpensive, and every one of them protects something that costs a great deal more to replace.
